As the founder of Miss Crumpy’s, Freda Crump’s love for cooking started in 1991 when her father, Donald Crump, opened his first soul food restaurant in Memphis, TN. With over 25 years of cooking experience, Freda expanded her reach to Los Angeles, CA where she began her catering career and later relocated to Atlanta, GA.
In 2020, Freda decided it was time to move her business operations back home to Memphis. She decided on a Food Truck rather than brick and mortar to start. This afforded her flexibility to restructure and the ability to take food to the people rather than waiting for the people to come to her. In less than 2 years… she has established Miss Crumpy’s as one of Memphis’ favorite food trucks, along with some of the Memphis area’s best choices for a variety of meal prep selections. Freda Crump also continues to give back to the city of Memphis through various efforts including weekly food distribution to the homeless.

Miss Crumpy’s was founded to create a platform for mom & pop restaurants, caterers, and food truck operators to have the same or equal pricing and advantages as chain restaurants regardless of revenue or money spent.
